A Joyful Tribute: Mellor Village Hall Celebrates 80 Years Since VE Day

This May, Mellor Village Hall was filled with music, laughter, and a wonderful sense of togetherness as we came together to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. It was a truly special afternoon, full of heart and history.

With the incredible Shincracker Swing bringing the dance floor to life, and a beautifully put-together vintage afternoon tea served with charm, the event captured all the nostalgia and spirit of the 1940s.

There was a real buzz in the air as friends, neighbours, and families gathered not only to honour the sacrifices made during World War II, but also to celebrate the strength of our community. It was a moving reminder of what we can achieve when we come together.
